Pujante: "The reconstruction of Lorca is becoming patchy and stingy way" (02/12/2013)

The regional coordinator of IU-Greens, José Antonio Booming Lorca claimed today more resources to rebuild the city after the earthquake of 2011 and floods in 2012 and has held that "is becoming patchy and reconstruction stingy" for which has required the Government to take the reins and be more forceful.

Pujante has argued that "it is false that there is no money and the Government of Valcárcel, who prioritized projects however no future as Corvera airport or the desalination of tailings, they will have to pay the people said."

He asserted that the per capita investment Lorca budgets CARM 2014 is 216 euros, and that "we must deduct 56 million from the European Investment Bank for reconstruction, because it is an extraordinary item for extraordinary case. "

Thus the regional spending in the town is below the regional average (284 euros per capita).

The leader of the formation of the left has criticized the planned investments for the next year "are virtually the same as in 2013 because costs are displaced and repeating from year to year and projects are not met."

Pujante summarized that "it is possible an alternative budget putting the real needs of citizens to the private interests of a few."

Thus, its parliamentary group in the Regional Assembly has tabled a number of amendments in this sense that include among others, the creation of a public food bank or a public bank.

Another amendment prompted increased spending in Lorca in excess of EUR 2 million in order to attend to the victims of the earthquakes and floods that have received no public support.

Meanwhile, the spokesman for IU-Greens, José García Murcia, in the city of Lorca has said that "there is a major unresolved issue in the process of rebuilding the city's historical district" has claimed so quickly the local government announced in PEPRI review of the area and the commitment of the Government of Spain through the Secretary of Public Works, Mario Garcés, for this.

"The planning agreements were a real nonsense"

José Antonio Pujante has referred, in another vein, the statements by the mayor, Francisco Jodar, on the claim of the money advanced by the promoters of planning agreements signed during the socialist period in local government.

The former Councilman IU-Greens in Lorca recalled "the hard, strong and reasoned opposition from his group planning agreements can now assume that the failure of the council," so that has called for urgent measures to solve them without that citizens have to pay for them.

"It was the PSOE who carried out this policy, with the support of the PP, although moderated its stance, the abstention in the package of agreements approved by the full City in 2005. It was a real blunder," concluded Pujante.
