The University Campus houses the National Meeting Lorca Equality for youth workers and youth policy makers (03/02/2014)

The Department of Youth and Women Consistory Lorca Cazalla Intercultural work with in this event sponsored by the Youth in Action Programme and in which experiences are analyzed in terms of gender violence in youth environments.

Youth Councillor of the City of Lorca, Augustine calls, and the mayor of Women, Eulalia Ibarra, have reported that the campus of Lorca host from 6 to 9 February, the National Meeting of young people, youth, skilled workers and managers youth policies.

The Department of Youth and Women Consistory Lorca Cazalla Intercultural work with in this event sponsored by the Youth in Action Programme and the Spanish National Agency, in which participants discussed best practices and experiences on gender violence in different youth environments.

Llamas explained that "will be a hundred people from throughout the country who come to this conference and staying at a hotel in town. Indeed, for each Autonomous Community has invited two youth workers, two experts on gender violence Two political leaders of municipalities and a representative of the Youth Councils. This is another initiative to boost economic activity in our city as we work on improving youth policies and prevention of gender violence around the country, an issue on which Lorca returns to national benchmark. "

Ibarra stated that "the audience will observe and support the relationship between the various heads of young people or actors who work with them. Space is also given to experts to share different realities of gender violence and models action present in each region. Besides joint solutions will be sought following good practice sharing and reflecting on new ideas that could help and support young people to leave violent relationships through non-formal education methods.

And finally, the meeting will serve to start building a strong network of youth organizations, politicians and institutions that work and fight against gender violence among youth.

To strengthen and develop support systems for youth organizations with different methods and best practices, which will be discussed at the meeting, where we can decide among all the optimal plan to act on our locations.

In addition we will plan together, and institutions-oenegés, the monitoring plan, thus strengthening the cooperation between the different Autonomous Communities.

Harness the meeting also to strengthen the relationship between work and engaged youth political organizations in ways that help to strengthen and make visible the work carried out in this field in each region and serve as a multiplier experience at policy of action. "

The working methods are based on non-formal education methodology, so as to create a space for participants to share and learn from the group.

Sharing and learning is conducted through lectures and presentations by participants and experts on specific situations in their autonomous regions.

Thus, the exchange of experiences and common decision making is facilitated.

The main working methods consist of exercises plenary debate, debates dynamic positioning, working groups, through multimedia presentations tools, panel discussions, lectures and discussion groups.
