The Center for Integrated Agricultural Training and Experience (CIFE) Lorca, under the Ministry of Agriculture and Water, held on Tuesday, February 18, the acts of its centenary as a research and training.
Among the events that will take place from 10:00 hours, will be the unveiling of a sculpture and planting a tree in the premises of CIFE in La Granja (old road from Lorca to Eagles).
Also, the video documentary "The Farm will be screened: 100 years of agricultural history in Lorca, and a conference on the centenary trajectory CIFE, by the CEBAS-CSIC researcher Pedro Segura will be held.
The CIFE Lorca opened in June 1913 as General Agriculture Station.
The Region assumed the powers of the Centre in 1982.
Today, in its facilities the District Agricultural Office and the Integrated High Guadalentin Center Agricultural Training and Experience of Lorca, which drives agricultural training and development work in agricultural experimentation and livestock is located.
