It is a tool through which to give new impetus to the application of Art Embroidery in Lorca and its staging in biblical processions of our city to the Representative List of Intangible Heritage of Humanity UNESCO
The Councillor for Culture of the City of Lorca, Sandra Martinez, this morning a new application (APP) for mobile devices called "Embroidery of Lorca."
It is a tool through which to give new impetus to the application of Art Embroidery in Lorca and its staging in biblical processions of our city to the Representative List of Intangible Heritage of Humanity UNESCO.
It will be available all information related to the application, parades, processions and other activities during the Easter holiday and the treasures of Lorca embroidery.
This APP is now available for Android devices through the Google Play platform and in the coming days for the Apple mobile platform through itunes.
Martínez Navarro explained that the purpose of this application groups, besides the inhabitants of Lorca, is the large number of visitors who come to our city to enjoy these days of Holy Week.
Thus they may provide not only a complete information about fraternities, processions, parades, itineraries related activities ... but of all documents relating to the bid promoted by "The Art of Embroidery Lorca Cultural Association and staging the Bible Passionate Parade "and supported by the City.
All information will be available in Spanish and English to reach a larger number of people.
Note that for the use of the application is not necessary to have internet connection, only for querying paths of different processions.
The content updating, as is done automatically when the device have internet access.
The application has a journey that does not end with Easter, because the content will be updated including news about the nomination of the Representative List, as well as others related to the guilds have activities throughout the year.
The mayor of Culture has indicated that the use of the latest mobile technologies for the presentation of cultural heritage is a way that the city of Lorca has already taken initiatives like LorcaRenace previously, which was launched last year.
That is why the Mobile Application presented today does not come except to complete the deal and cultural heritage information Lorca.
And it is Easter where all that multiplies and cultural heritage takes the streets filled with visitors who come to our city.
This initiative has been promoted by the Department of Culture, developed and funded by the Heritage Intelligent company Lorca, with the cooperation and support of the Cultural Association "The Art of Embroidery Lorca and its staging in the Bible Passionate Parade" , and supported by HE.
