The traditional route by bike every year to celebrate hamlet Sports Games Guadalentin this year became a cycling mountain bike route.
The aim was to promote an activity without leaving the bike, allowing participants to take a tour of greater hardness, based on the tastes of many Lorca practice every weekend mountain biking in our town.
Considering that there is already an activity for all bike as cycle-ride is logical to seek initiatives to promote sports other formats.
Thus the stage was planned as challenging climb to the Manilla, in the Sierra de Tertia.
It was a route to medium-high difficulty of 40 kilometers.
To carry out it with the collaboration of the Lorca-Santiago Association, whose members were responsible for leading the pack and make an optimum rate of climb.
At 9 o'clock they departed from the Plaza de Colón 105 registered participants, including 13 women's participation, to reach the river.
From there they crossed the road to ascend the Palomar Caravaca, reach the raft and climb Transfer to Manilla;
the last few miles were free upgrade for each rider had a chance to prove himself.
In Manilla, at an altitude of 957 meters, he held a lunch-dense food supply to regain strength and proceeded to traditional raffle.
Once parts, riders return to Lorca performed through the old road up to the IES Carraclaca Bartolomé Pérez Casas, where the march was dissolved shortly after 13 hours.
This was a satisfying experience as judged by its own participants who appreciated the inclusion of a test of this nature, required in recent years.
So it would not be surprising that in future editions of the Games this route to settle and were to become a classic of the Olympics Lorca.
