The art of embroidery will be presented by Lorca Spain to be declared a Unesco Intangible Heritage in 2018 (18/11/2014)

The Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities defended today at the meeting of the Heritage Council, held in Lanzarote that art embroidery Lorca and staging the parade Passionate Bible-candidate is declared Intangible Well Site by Unesco and the Ministry of Education shall submit to the international body in 2018.

This milestone was achieved after late October 1st Expert Group of the Ministry of Culture decided to raise the proposal submitted by the Ministry of Culture, part of the Lorca groups themselves involved in Bible-Passionate embroideries and the city of Lorca so that it was discussed in the Council.

The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Maria Comas said that "access to get Spain to present candidates for Unesco Intangible Well Site is increasingly restricted, but the project has achieved Lorca".

Also, from the Ministry of Culture the important work that is being done to the international recognition of the cultural heritage of the region, as the Autonomous Community also participates in joint candidacy tamboreada, presented in 2015 is highlighted, and Wine Horses Caravaca de la Cruz will be representing Spain in 2017.

Meanwhile, the meeting of Heritage Council also ratified the appointment of the Head of Service of Historical Heritage of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities, Miguel St. Nicholas, as one of three members appointed by the Heritage Council for Category 2 Centre created World Heritage by UNESCO in Spain and is dedicated to rock art.
