Lorca hosts a forum for discussion of disaster management (19/11/2014)

This is the "First Day Lorca Resilient: lessons learned from the earthquake," which will be done in our city from the 26th, 27th and 28th November.

Councilman Emergencies Lorca, Eduardo Sanchez, informed our host city during the days of 26, 27 and November 28 seminar professional profile, titled "First Day Lorca Resilient: Lessons Learned the earthquake, "aims to address first-person moments that followed the earthquake of May 11, 2011. This meeting is organized by the City Council and has the support of the Directorate General of Public Safety and Emergency CARM and Directorate General of Civil Defense and Emergencies of the Ministry of Interior, Government of Spain.

Sanchez Abad explained that this event is organized under a structure of 65 microconferencias by professionals from multiple workspaces that worked in the management of crisis following the May 2011 earthquake in Lorca.

There will also be panel discussions, thus allowing exposure of the different lessons along the overall analysis of the same.

The findings of this Forum will be published in a book published by the General Directorate of Civil Defense and Emergencies of the Ministry of the Interior of the Government of Spain to be presented in the first months of next year.

Councilman Emergency stressed that this "First Day Lorca resilient: lessons learned from the earthquake" is especially directed to staff government that ensures the improvement and control of the cities and territories, although they are invited all groups and agents our rich social fabric of society, neighborhood associations, singular collective oenegés, aldermen, insurance companies, and urban professionals.

Parallel School Education in Emergencies initiative held, thanks to which specific workshops for children 26 and November 27 will be taught, and which is expected to involve 200 students from different colleges Lorca.

Eduardo Sanchez has stated that for the first time ranks first in one forum, jointly pursuing those experiences to answer questions relating to the disaster, among other content, according to the following schedule:

Day November 26, 2014: Intervention, Security and order, essential services and relevant topics.

Day November 27, 2014: Information management and communication, property damage assessment, training and self-protection, social and economic attention.

Day November 28, 2014: Legislative Environment, Risk Scientific Knowledge.

Eduardo Sanchez is anticipated that the findings to date have been obtained in the emergency management of earthquakes are serving to enrich and update the Plan and the new Sismimur Coordination and Support Plan being developed by the Directorate General Civil Defense and Emergencies of the Ministry of the Interior of the Government of Spain.

This meeting on emergency management feature an interesting cast of speakers, comprising members of the three government (City, CARM and Government of Spain), Civil Protection, Fire, Military Emergency Unit, local police, national police, Civil Guard, Murcia Health Service, Red Cross Hospital Rafael Méndez and Virgen del Alcázar, Psychologists, Architects and Technical Architects, Neighborhood Representatives, Colleges and Institutes of Lorca, Ambulance Company, telecommunications company, Land Agents, Insurance Agents , Regional Confederation of Organizations of Lorca (Ceclor), University of Navarra, Complutense University, Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Polytechnic University of Cartagena, Almería University, Polytechnic University of Madrid, Centro Superior de Investigaciones Científicas CSIC, IGN National Geographical Institute, Member General Council of the Judiciary.
