The War Theatre will host a new cycle of Spiritual Cinema promoted by the Department of Culture and the Diocese of Cartagena (27/01/2015)

January 27, 2014. The Councillor for Culture of the City of Lorca, Sandra Martinez, with the Episcopal Delegate of Education of the Diocese of Cartagena, Juan Carlos García Domene, presented the program to be developed in the war theater within the project called "Week of Spiritual Cinema", with the dates on 3 and 4 February

The mayor of Culture has explained that this time the slogan, "The Mystery of Love" has been given for the content of the films in this case revolve around the question, moreover as film, Love.

The focus of this project is unique, offering spiritual perspective, we will see stories about young love, willingness to give life, the strength of love, love and gratitude or love as a path to redemption.

Present the thousand records of love: the love of family, love marriage, love for children or parents, love for God, love for life and no doubt, and always, love love.

The poster wanted to reflect this experience between divine love and human love.

So we chose a picture of paternity and filiation, the child's face looking at the infinite horizon on the beach, with an iconography that recalls "The Tree of Life" Terrence Malick.

Father's hand supporting and encouraging, here comes to mind Rembrandt's painting "The Return of the Prodigal Son" and the interpretation made by Henri J. Nouwen those hands.

As for the movies this year also we continue to pitch to students in Elementary Education with two films, first up, a story that invites you to live generously and improvement, for students in 4th, 5th and 6th of Primary Education where students propose always rely on the love and second, the third installment of Narnia, recover The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

Maybe it's time to educationally profitable this literary and cinematic fully Christian proposal.

For teenagers and young ESO and Bachiller we selected four titles ranging from those with more commercial pull as Gravity (the mysterious presence of love) or 12 Years a Slave (love that makes us free), until they are Christians explicitly Unconditional where you can experience the power of love and Italian White as milk and blood red where it is evident what is the greatest love.

As for the open sessions for all evening hours, will debut Thérèse (the transcendent love and mystical union), On the Waterfront (love becomes wrestling), Hannah Arendt (love leads us to overcome the banality of mal), Ida (the roots of love) or Space inside (the love of family reason to live and survive).

In the case of our city, are to carry through matinee screenings at school, being the complete program as follows:

Tuesday 3 / 9.30

"The Chronicles of Narnia 3 The Voyage of the Dawn Treader"

Tuesday 3 / 11:45

Wednesday, 4 / 9.30
