Apandis signed two agreements for the employment of people with disabilities with the City of Lorca and the Hospital Virgen del Alcázar (20/02/2015)

The president of the association, the council of Employment and the managing director of the hospital have delivered the diplomas that certify practices by users Apandis in Rehabilitation Services and Patient Virgen del Alcázar, a company that will hire a of these professionals with disabilities.

The president of the Association of Parents of Children with Disabilities (APANDIS), Pedro Arcas, has reported the extension of the collaboration agreements signed by the entity with the City and the Hospital Virgen del Alcázar to facilitate the employment of people with disabilities .

Specifically, the Employment Councilwoman Consistory Lorca, Eulalia Ibarra has reported that the City provides users of this collective gain experience as gardeners or caretakers in various municipal services.

Meanwhile, Ibarra also thanked "the Hospital Virgen del Alcázar has strived to offer training practices in their services Rehabilitation and Patient people with disabilities. In addition, the company becomes a clear example to follow to have decided to hire one of the people who made these practices, Marina Sánchez, to work in the area of ​​Admission and Hospital Management ".

This morning Arcas and Ibarra have delivered along with the managing director of the Hospital Virgen del Alcázar, Mª Dolores Lafuente, diplomas certifying training at nine users who performed internships for three months in those hospital services.

This is the first time a company of Lorca opens its doors to labor inclusion of a worker with Down syndrome.

Through this initiative, FEAPS Murcia, the Federation of Organizations for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities and Cerebral Palsy, has been awarded this year to Hospital Laurel FEAPS 2015 award in the category of "Promoting a Day Centre" at the request of APANDIS, with the unanimous support of all member associations.

It is an award given to companies who advocate the employment of people with intellectual disabilities, and now in its nineteenth edition.

Delivery of the Laurel Awards will be held in a public meeting scheduled for February 26 in the auditorium of the Social Center of the University of Murcia at 12.
