The Governing Council, on a proposal from the Ministry of Health and Social Policy has authorized spending to guarantee the reservation and occupation of 120 residential places for people with mental disabilities in the town of Lorca, for a total amount of 10,646,131 euros until 2019.
Specifically, this new contract the Instituto Murciano Social Action (IMAS) enter into force in October 2015, expires today, and will continue until September 30, 2019, with the possibility of re-extend.
The seats are located in the center of the Asprodes association Lorca.
The objective of this action is to ensure care for people with intellectual disabilities who require comprehensive services to perform daily activities and that, for various reasons, can not receive in their social and family environment.
Thus, the development of personalized service programs to maintain health, autonomy and integration of people with disabilities is contemplated.
Residential care includes ongoing staffing services, health, and rehabilitation and counseling for empowerment.
