Lorca Mayor awards prizes to the winners of the XXX edition of Children's Story Competition María Fernández Moon (23/04/2015)

The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar has delivered this morning, coinciding with World Book Day, the prizes to the winners of the Children's Story Competition María Fernández Moon.

This day can celebrate the importance of Literature and defend their essential role in any society that wants to be better.

Francisco Jodar said that "I always thought that there are few more emotive events that reward those who have shared with readers his imagination and talent, their expressive ability and enthusiasm through words, through a lovely, sympathetic narratives, loaded grace, and reality ".

Lorca Mayor said "why this event is a celebration in which the protagonists are you, the very young authors that today we give our energetic applause and our sincere thanks. Applause for the quality of the winning entries. Thanks for having allowed to know these creations full of wit and freshness. However it is never easy to choose the best when they are involved, as is the case, more than 1,500 works, record and is a pride for Lorca. Therefore I want to give my congratulations to all members of the jury for his hard work, but mostly give my most sincere congratulations to each and every one of the participants, because only the fact of trying to do something as difficult as writing deserves collective recognition ".

The mayor has encouraged all participants and especially the winners, not to stop writing, to continue to use literature to publicize their stories.

But also encourage that small read and learn increasingly so make your imagination and creativity to grow, because these virtues will be very important for them in the future.

The winners of the XXX edition "María Fernández Moon Awards" have been in the category of best collective work of classroom for kindergarten, the award went to the story "The fear of Norah" in five years, the CEIP San Cristobal, and in the story entitled "The best dads become Superabuelos" 4 years, the St. Francis of Assisi School.

In the category for students of 1st and 2nd Primary, the first prize went to Matthias Rafael Martínez Sangüesa, the Sun City College, the story titled "The child and the cloud";

the second prize went to Irene Arcas Moreno of San Francisco School of Assisi for "Sweet Dreams", while the third prize was won by Carmen Pérez Cardenosa, CEIP Andrés García Soler, of "La Peppa chicken."

The finalists in this category were Antonio Martínez Hernández CEIP Narciso Yepes for "The Magic Shirt", Ginés González Molina CRA Zarcilla for "We are all friends."

In the category for students in 3rd and 4th, the first prize was awarded to Maria Marin Reverte CEIP Narciso Yepes for "The mysterious case of the missing eggs";

the second prize went to the story "Psalm, the fish could not swim" Alvaro Alonso Ortiz of Sun City College, while the third prize went to the story "Juanito's paws" Álvaro Pérez López City College del Sol. Finalists were the stories "The water of truth" de Lucía Fernández Perán CEIP Andrés García Soler, "The magic pills" Lorena Segura Soto CEIP Narciso Yepes.

Students in 5th and 6th Primary, the first prize went to Marta Moya Torroglosa College of Mother of God "Please take me with you";

the second prize went to the story "The jacket without buttons" Cristina Campos Lopez of Sun City College and the third prize went to Ana Ruiz Sánchez CEIP by Alfonso X El Sabio "I have been asleep one foot."

As finalists have been the "majareta Bicycle" story of Amina Belazghem CEIP Andrés García Martínez Soler, "I want my mommy" Married Enrique Gomez of San Francisco School of Assisi.

The special prize was awarded to Javier illustration Silvente Perellón CEIP Alfonso X El Sabio by "The Secret Forest".

In the category of primary pupils with special educational needs, the first prize went to Desirée Lario Campoy CEIP Sacred Heart of Jesus for "The Lost Diamond".

The first runner up was the story "The Ghost Dancer" Dolores Rodríguez Leal CEIP Alfonso X El Sabio.

The story "The Prince and his transformation" of Francisco José García Martínez del Colegio Alfonso X El Sabio has been runner.
