The Governing Council has given the green light to the signing of an agreement between the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Planning and the City of Lorca for a grant, amounting to 11,265,747 euros, for the urban renewal in three neighborhoods of Lorca.
Specifically, we will act in the district of San Cristóbal and street Abellaneda;
Eulogio Periago street and adjacent streets;
and the Santa Quiteria and Virgen de las Huertas.
These three interventions belong to nine works program provided for in the cooperation agreement signed between the regional and municipal administration in October 2014 and will involve a whole a total investment of 38.6 million euros.
The amount approved today is distributed multi-annual basis, with an investment of 5,473,038 euros for 2015 and 5,792,709 euros for the year 2016.
The purpose of these actions is renovating infrastructure of public roads, distribution networks of water, electricity and gas, sewer and storm drains and telephony, as well as improving road paving and sidewalks, street lighting and the provision of parks and gardens.
