From the beginning of the year the National Police in Lorca have arrested seven people and involved 290 kilos of copper material (13/05/2015)

In the last joint operation with the local police in Lorca, they have arrested two people and recovered 80 kilograms of copper

The material already belonged to a former cement of the town of Lorca

Agents of the National Police, in collaboration with agents Lorca Local Police have arrested two people suspected of stealing 80 kilograms of copper material.

The arrest of these two persons is part of the device called Operation Copper, National Police that has developed around centers metal waste treatment to prevent illegal trafficking of this material.

On 20 April, a local police patrol intercepted Lorca in a junkyard of the town two people with large amount of copper of unknown origin, which further investigation of the local Judicial Police of the National Police, could verify that came of a theft in a former cement of the town.

As far this year the National Police of Lorca and within the framework of Operation Copper device, they have carried out various operations in which seven have been arrested and two hundred and ninety kilograms of copper material recovered.

Six of the detainees are of Spanish nationality and one of Romanian nationality, aged between 27 and 66 years old.

The operation was conducted by agents of the National Police Station of Lorca in the Police Headquarters of Murcia in collaboration with the local police in Lorca.
