The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, along with the Councillor responsible for Citizen Security, Belen Perez, participated in the inauguration of five new strands of the local police, which took place last Friday, May 8, in the city of Lorca .

Francisco Jodar explained that "the new capes have been proposed as candidates after a competition organized to provide, internally, five seats out of the local police, members of the Public Employment Offers 2008 and 2011, with selected by the ranking, and allowed to proceed to carry out the second phase of the selection tests. Also, the five elected shall hold opponents during the course of the training provided probationers ".

For the purpose of the May 8, 2015 the new strands of the local police in Lorca are: Manuel Garcia Martinez, Welcome Romero Moreno, Pedro Marin Gomez, Juan Jose Garcia Sanchez and Martin Sanchez Alvadalejo.

In order to exercise its functions, the five new strands began last May 11, the School of Education and Innovation of the Public Administration of the Region of Murcia, selective course for officers of the local police, after having passed the first phase the selection process.

This course serves a dual purpose;

on the one hand, comply with the provisions of Law 4/1998 of 24 July, and the other, provide adequate training to candidates, to enable them to practice in the performance of the duties entrusted to category corresponding.

The essential aim of this selective course, taught by renowned professionals, is to achieve an improvement in the professional skills of local police commanders providing knowledge, skills and tools applicable to the position, thus contributing to improving the provision of public service.
