Classes will be held on 9 and 10 July from 17:00 to 19:00 hours and registration will be made through the web lorcajoven.es.
These activities will involve employees of the Department of Youth and Health and together.
25 June 2014. Councillors of Health and Youth council of Lorca, Antonia Lopez and Agustín Llamas, with the President of the Youth Council, Luis Montiel, have reported that the two institutions have coordinated a year for the launch of a free course on food handling.
It is responding to the needs and suggestions made by various groups and associations of the city as regards training aspects especially in the face of camps, summer jobs or fair.
The course food handler, is open to everyone who wants to do it but have priority young people and members or collaborators of youth associations in the municipality and as has become customary in recent years, will be taught by staff of the Department of Health.
The course will be held on 9 and 10 July from 17:00 to 19:00.
This activity will be held at the Youth Center campus, former headquarters of the local police on the campus, which was also located the headquarters of the Youth Council and it is preparing to host youth activities.
The issues that are disclosed to students are: legislation, nutrition, food contamination, preservation methods thereof, foodborne diseases as poisoning and bacterial infections, viral diseases and other foodborne caused by fungi or parasites as well as preventive measures to be taken along with good health and hygiene practices.
In addition to the specialty examination of prepared meals and catering it will be done.
Also those young people who can not attend on those dates this summer and enroll through the Youth Council, will be able to do it via online.
