The 48th edition will feature a SEPOR Master Class / Workshop Poultry Zinpro promoted by the company, which will be discussed in a practical way the lesions found in chickens in slaughterhouses.
The workshop, to be held on Thursday, November 5 afternoon, aims to help identify the most common injuries in a correct and objective manner using visual guide developed by Zinpro to classify injuries by type and severity;
degrade injuries carcasses of chickens causing economic losses in slaughterhouses.
First, Francisco Fernández López-Brea, Zinpro responsible for Spain and Portugal, will present the specialized "Carcass quality - Major defects found in the carcass of chickens in Spain" work based on the "New Visual Guide to Channels lesions observed in the Chicken "edited by Zinpro, the Spanish version will be presented to the public for the first time, during the celebration of SEPOR.
Then the vet Wim Tondeur the Master Class taught, with practical support from chicken carcasses brought to slaughter.
The workshop detect lesions indicate where there have been, what might be the possible causes and what are the possible solutions.
It will emphasize the most common injuries, serving four categories depending on their origin: skin, muscles, skeleton and vascular integrity.
The Master Class will be held in Room B SEPOR facilities in the Garden of the Wheel of Lorca, from 18 am on Thursday, with free access activity;
completion to a Spanish wine will be served.
