The First Short Film Festival in Sign Language Lorca screened 20 titles morning at the War Theater (13/11/2015)

The Councillor for Culture and Celebrations of the City of Lorca, Augustine Llamas, has reported that the municipal area with the Deaf Association of Lorca (ASPERSOLOR) and cineclub Paradiso have organized for tomorrow, Saturday November 14, the first Charity Festival Sign Language Short Film held in the city in which 20 titles will be screened.

Llamas explained that "it is the first cinematic experience in sign language that takes place in our city, especially made for people with hearing disabilities, an articulated journey around various short works adapted to this form and sent from Spain. ".

The mayor explained that "the films have been made by both associations linked to this disability, such as theater companies specializing in this mode of communication or film producers and television concienciadas with the subject matter".

Specifically, with an average duration of between 10 and 20 minutes each, may be tomorrow, from 10:15 h.

The activity has a beneficial character, a collaboration with 10 € per person for the whole day, which will go entirely to the ASPERSOLOR association.

Agustin Llamas has highlighted the interest of the Consistory Lorca bring culture to people with disabilities, adapting the offer to their needs, while the culture became a great channel of solidarity and social integration.

For his part, the president thanked the City ASPERSOLOR the support it is giving to this group with activities like this and the assignment of a local as the venue for the conduct of its activities, and added that this festival "gives us the opportunity to continue building of our dreams, for communication barriers it makes us isolate ourselves from a world in which we participate with all our strength ".
