The Cabinet has approved a proposal of the Ministry of Culture and Spokesperson, a grant of 470,000 euros to the city of Lorca to help fund construction of a sports hall for volleyball and beach volleyball in order to complete the facilities of this unique sports center of excellence and perfection of beach volleyball.
The pavilion house two volleyball courts and two beach volleyball fixed metal frame enclosure, enclosure with precast reinforced concrete and covered by sandwich panel.
With this investment, the city of Lorca completed all the facilities that make up the initial construction project that will be recognized by the Sports Council and Sports Center Modernization beach volleyball, a national and international reference in this sport.
The pavilion is to join the four outdoor courts, one with 650espectadores stands for, and a residence equipped to meet the needs of athletes.
In November 2013, the Community, the City of Lorca, the Higher Sports Council and the Royal Spanish Volleyball Federation agreed to develop this center of excellence for the sport of beach volleyball.
