Dismantle four marijuana plants in Lorca with more than 2,000 cannabis plants (16/12/2015)

The Civil Guard in the region of Murcia and Lorca Local Police, in a joint mechanism set up to prevent and prosecute drug trafficking, have dismantled four clandestine marijuana plantations with more than 2,000 plants, located in the town of Lorca.

In operation 'GREEN HAY', agents have arrested three people and, in addition to plants, have seized all the means used for illegal cultivation of cannabis sativa.

Research last September began when, thanks to the cooperation of citizens, the Civil Guard received information about the possible existence of several marijuana plants hidden among other plantations and greenhouses of the municipality of Lorca.

Given the very large area covering the said criminal activity, the Civil Guard launched a police operation in close collaboration with the local police in Lorca, which have made frequent scans and surveillance in order to locate the clandestine plantations in an area It is covering dozens of square kilometers.

The result of this intensive search effort and the close police cooperation, the investigation focused on several farms in Lorca deputation of Puri, where tree plantations were finished dismantling, hidden in small greenhouses buildings and annexes rural housing, proceeding to the arrest of those responsible for the alleged crime of drug cultivation and seizing more than a hundred cannabis plants, plus useful and effects related to its cultivation and processing.
