The Governing Council has approved a proposal from the Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructure, hiring the execution of the works of the first tranche of the Central South Round Lorca, a new road which will connect the neighborhoods of Apollonia San Diego de Lorca, which will have a budget of 10,805,155 euros.
The aim is to improve communications with the south of the city, where an agricultural area is densely populated, and in the east-west.
The work, which is handled by open procedure will be screened on a plot of 1.5 kilometers, which starts on the old road N-340a Lorca at the entrance to the east of the city, in the neighborhood of Apollonia, and ends in the neighborhood of San Diego.
The layout has been adapted to the corridor provided for in land-use planning of Lorca.
The total budget of the action, 10,805,155 euros, will be financed in 2016 and 2017 annuities, con6.599.550 euros and 4,205,605 euros, respectively.
This project is the first of four sections consisting of implementation of South-Central Lorca Round, which has a total length of 4.4 kilometers and runs from the N-340a to link the west with Highway RM -11, exercising the function of Lorca ring road linking the east and south of the city.
By agreement between the Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructure and the City of Lorca, it is for the Highways implementation of sections 1 and 2, and the other two to the Consistory Lorca.
South Central Ronda, along its entire length, will be a dual carriageway road with two lanes of 3.5 meters wide road, and a median.
Functional and geometric features will be urban road with intersections regulated by roundabouts.
