The Councillor for Social Policy, Fátima Mínguez, president of Lorca and the Red Cross, Concepción Channels, attended the event which was held at the Colegio de San Cristobal organized by the NGO Lorca and Cepaim Foundation in collaboration with the City Council.
The Councillor for Social Policy of the City of Lorca, Fátima Mínguez, president of Red Cross Lorca, Concepción Channels, and representatives of the Social Work of La Caixa attended Wednesday evening at the Fair on the Rights of the Child these entities organized in conjunction with the San Cristobal CEPAIM College of Lorca
This activity was a day of living among 150 children participating in the program CaixaProinfancia taking place in the town of Lorca a collaboration of these organizations to improve the quality of life of children.
On this day an exhibition of children's rights and child, with various activities aimed at sensitization and awareness was the participant with Syrian refugee children developed.
At all times, these children were supervised by teachers and educators who stay with them throughout this school year, which oversee the proper functioning of the activity and the achievement of the main objective of this day.
The CaixaProinfancia program of "la Caixa" is taking place this academic year by Cepaim Red Cross Foundation, through an agreement with the Consistory Lorca, from October of 2015 in various schools Lorca, such as school Alfonso X the Wise, the IES Jose Ibanez Martin, the school Jose Robles, San Jose school, the Colegio San Cristobal and Juan Gonzalez College.
In total they are being treated more than 350 children and their families through educational support applets, leisure time, family counseling and educational workshops.
