Songs and Dances of Lorca edit a new CD with 20 typical fruit of recording live tracks from his last performance at the Theater War (22/01/2016)

The Councillor for Culture of the City of Lorca, Augustine Llamas, and the president of the Songs and Dances of Lorca, Inmaculada Martinez de Miguel, presented the third CD that goes on sale this group and that bears the name of 'Memories Gallery , landscapes and customs'.

Llamas explained that "this CD includes 20 traditional songs of Lorca, the result of the live recording of the final performance of the folk group in the War Theater to mark the 70th anniversary of the group, in which 93 people participated, of which Also it includes pictures. "

The mayor has encouraged Lorca to acquire at the headquarters of the association, at Calle Eugenio Ubeda, one of the 1,000 records that have been made.

The recording and mixing was carried out by Manuel Peña of Telemag, while graphic design is Sergio Navarro, and also has the support of Emelyanova Nadia and Mary King.

The group of Songs and Dances of Lorca is established in 1945 in order to rescue, preserve and disseminate the folklore of Lorca and the surrounding region through songs, dances, costumes and traditions inherited from our ancestors.

Currently, the group of Songs and Dances of Lorca, consists of more than 100 people and is a full member of CIOFF (International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals), an organization associated with UNESCO which ensures the quality and purity of these events and supports, therefore, the Festival of Lorca as one of the most prestigious in our region, which so far has involved more than 60 countries around the world and almost all the Autonomous Communities.
