Youth Councillor in the City of Lorca, Augustine Llamas, has announced that it has opened the registration period for workshops on education in values ​​through the media.

These workshops are held under the Inter-Speaker, an initiative organized by Project Cazalla Intercultural Association in collaboration with the city of Lorca and funded by the Obra Social "La Caixa" through its Grants Program Projects Social Initiatives .

Llamas Gómez explained that the project's main objective is to carry out a campaign of intercultural awareness, develop communication strategies that foster a culture of diversity and counteract attitudes of discrimination and racism, false rumors and stereotypes on immigration and cultural diversity .

Intercultural board considering the crucial role of communication as a tool for social change and building a new critical and intercultural citizenship.

This awareness campaign will be conducted by young people through various workshops that teach work with audiovisual media, video, radio, podcasting, film, blogging and how to use these means to prepare an awareness campaign against various forms of discrimination.

The workshops are completely free and are aimed at young people aged 16 to 25 years.

The registration period ends on 20 February.
