The Aldermen of Health, Antonia Lopez, and Mayor, Mari Carmen Ruiz, have reported that the city council has launched a campaign that has as main objective to raise awareness among citizens about the need to avoid heatstroke.

Antonia López has noted that "this is an initiative that developed last year and we will continue to bring forward during these months when temperatures rise to extreme and, consequently, the heat is very oppressive.

Exposure to excessive temperatures may cause health problems such as cramps, dehydration, sunstroke, heat stroke and sunburn.

This year as new panels are going to use traffic lights that exist in our village to send tips to avoid heatstroke.

In addition we will install a booth to distribute information and bottles of water on Thursday at the weekly market. "
