Jódar signed an agreement with the UPCT to give this year an official master of social economy in Lorca (22/07/2008)

Lorca's mayor, Francisco Jodar, and the rector of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT), Felix Faure, this morning signed a collaboration agreement for the establishment and development from this year's Master in Business Administration and Management Social economy entities.

The Councillor for Education, Jose Joaquin Peñarrubia, explained that "this City Council believes that the municipality of Lorca must have high-level university studies, to train people to carry out activities related to the administration and management of such entities, given the importance, in space within its competence, represent these entities within the economic and social fabric of the Shire of Guadalentín, which is heading this city. "

The introduction and development of this master in the city, recognized throughout Europe, is for the municipality of Lorca assume a contribution of € 30,000 per year, which, given the duration of four years, will increase in the percentage of change in CPI.

"The opportunity to teach this Masters unique in this field in the region, is visible to the importance and expansion that is experiencing the social economy in Spain, and especially in the Murcia region," said Peñarrubia.

The main objective of the Master is to provide graduates with specialized training and quality in different aspects of the administration and management of the entities of the Social Economy.

These studies delve into the legal, tax, accounting, financial, organizational, commercial, strategic, and human resources, among others.

Thus, the Master intends to respond to the demand for skilled professionals from organizations with a unique, high socio-economic importance and growing expansion into the European, national and regional levels.

The master will depend on the Faculty of Business of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena and is intended for graduates in Business Administration, Bachelor in Economics, Bachelor of Market Research and Techniques, Bachelor of Business Administration and Law and Labour Sciences graduates and graduates in law, as well as senior engineers, Diploma in Business and Technical Engineers.
