Social Economy will be the protagonist of the first university degree to be conducted in Lorca.
UPCT (Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena), along with organizations like the City of Murcia, Amusal, FECOAM, Cajamurcia, UCOMUR, Foods of the Mediterranean, the Chamber of Lorca, ALIA and the Confederation of Employers of Lorca District have agreed to promote the Social Economy by a master on the administration and management of institutions where workers own their own businesses.
Social Economy companies have a presence in the region of Murcia, while its expansion is increasing in Spain and Europe.
So much so that the Masters in Business Administration and Management of Social Economy is not the first university degree approved dedicated to the sector, since a few months ago the company introduced the chair of Murcia Social Economy.
First chair of its kind in the whole of Spain.
The main objective of the Master's graduates to specialize in specific aspects of organizations dedicated to the Social Economy.
The MSc is aimed at graduates in Business Administration, plus a degree in Economics, Law, Market Research and Techniques, Labour Studies, diploma in Business Studies or Engineering or Technical Institutions.
The scheduled time for the Masters will occupy two days a week: Monday and Thursday evenings or Saturday morning depending on the needs of students.
The City of Lorca enabled classrooms where teach this graduate course as part of the investment of 30,000 euros per year for four years committed itself to the last day July 22, 2008.
On the signing of this agreement starring Lorca Francisco Mayor Jódar, the rector of the UPCT Félix Faure, and Councilman José Joaquín Peñarrubia Education, he now joins the contribution of social partners highlighted in the Social Economy.
