Within the framework of the cooperation agreement signed between the Autonomous Community of Murcia, through the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and the town of Lorca, by the Municipal Council of Social Services in the year 2008 and for the development of actions reception and integration of immigrants and educational effort has been initiated in the City of the Sun, ZAIDA II Project and to be carried out between November 2008 and January 2009.
The mayor of Social Services City of Lorca, Lali Ibarra commented that "the project Zaida, raises the professional qualifications of the group of immigrant women in the garment industry and textile design, as well as learning the Spanish language as a tool for social inclusion.
The project is aimed at 20 immigrant women who know the Castilian as one of the aims of the project is that its beneficiaries are aware of the host language, being divided into two groups, in morning and afternoon.
Ibarra added that "the implementation of this program helps immigrant women facilitate the acquisition of a basic level in the professional field concerned, both in theory and in practice, granting priority to the implementation of the work and tasks that best describe the job to develop after the training period.
The objective is to increase the quality of life expectations of the group of immigrant women residing in the town of Lorca with proper training that enhances their access and maintenance of a job are accompanied by training that goes beyond language a comprehensive training of the person about the host society in which they are immersed.
