Lorca City Council has welcomed this morning in a committee room meeting with different representatives of several municipalities in the region in search of drawing a line of work to get additional financial resources through European Union programs.
The meeting was attended by the Director General for Institutional Relations and External Action, Juan Antonio Morales, which has met with council members, technicians and agents of local development in eight municipalities of the Region of Guadalentin, has displayed sectoral policies EU and the options they offer to finance the programs.
Joaquin Ruiz Montalvan Lorca Building Councilman, said at the end of the bench that "from the community have given us every assistance to meet their preferred areas of interest and the choices they have to follow a line work to develop relations with the EU, seeking additional resources. "
The mayor also said that "access to these funds is done through competitive bidding procedures, and the proceedings may be in the field of civil protection, education, youth, social affairs, transport, employment, environment, society information, energy or territorial cooperation among others. "
Consistories represented at the meeting were those of Lorca, Aguilas, Mazarrón, Alhama, Totana, Puerto Lumbreras, Librilla and Aledo.
