UPyD Lorca calls to various local political parties represented the motion to support legislation that defends the deputy Rosa Díez respect to water powers (17/02/2009)

Note from UPyD:

Lorca UPyD recorded the morning of Monday January 16 in single card and the spokespersons of IU, PSOE and PP a written request to the session to rule on the next full for the water-related skills are unique task state, which must decide according to the common interests of all Spanish.

This action is framed within a campaign that will reach all municipalities in the Region of Murcia where UPyD have activity, with the intention that the various political parties support the proposition of law, that drives Unión Progreso y Democracia.

This proposition of law is in line with that contained in the program UPyD which specifically mentions "The focus of the Water Policy must come from the exclusive control by the Spanish State of any jurisdiction relating to this public good."

Defending this point and we see our MP Rosa Díez, where UPyD was the only party that voted against the processing status of Castilla La-Mancha, clearly showing the double standards of the two major parties, who say and do different things depending on the area where they are.

Rosa Díez addition, recently introduced 20 amendments to the draft Statute of Autonomy of Castilla-La Mancha, which deleted the expiration date of the Tajo-Segura, the statutory language set in 2015, and retire to the Board the responsibility for water .

From UPyD hope that political parties Lorca about this subject with the importance it deserves and provide a practical and effective response to the proposal made by our party.

Non-legislative proposal introduced by Representative of Union Progreso y Democracia, Rosa Díez, last May 8, 2008:

"The House of Representatives urges the Government to present at the earliest opportunity a draft organic law that includes the following:

1.

That given the existing water fight today between the various autonomous communities and to overcome the serious malfunctions that the current framework of responsibilities for water resources and development is generating, is the government that exclusively assume those powers, it is the only state able to ensure the general interest, solidarity and the essential and necessary equality between all the Spanish in an essential resource as necessary as drinking water from the Spanish.

2.

All this under article 138.1 of the Constitution which expressly states that the State must ensure the implementation, not just anybody, but effective, the principle of solidarity. "
