The City of Lorca, through the Department of Youth and Environment, has launched a sample whose goal is to raise awareness about respecting nature.

This is the project sustainable vehicle, a commitment to the arts that is part of protest art.

The program has seen the number of workshops in secondary schools of Lorca whose purpose was the creation of a message to raise public awareness on environmental protection.

The peculiarity is that the object on which these students have worked has not been paper or canvas, but a car into disuse.

In particular we are talking about six vehicles whose showroom inside the Avenida Juan Carlos I.

The cars, which can be seen on this street since last Saturday, are a striking example of painting outdoors.

In fact students of the institutes's painted over the three days of X Student Show, which took place last February in our city.

From the Department of Youth have reported that this activity is part of the "La Pera Newton," a program to support schools in the municipality that involves all the institutes of Lorca.

This is a project that includes various extracurricular activities that have been developed with the aim of enriching the daily life of the school, creating cultural habits and subject knowledge.

Programs "La Pera Newton" are classified in projects, workshops and activities, contain a brief summary of the activity, and are geared to the stages or cycles most appropriate school for their best use.

This course will devote the principal reason for the Environment program, so their activities are mainly aimed at addressing the problems of climate, pollution and clean energy, among other topics.

The reason that has led the council to invest in this line of work is the belief that the future will be what today's students know and want to contribute to society.
