Tovar and Francisco González Jódar put the first stone of the new municipal swimming pool Lorca, funded by the Local Investment Fund (30/04/2009)

So far, the City has received 2.3 million from the Government of Spain to finance 19 projects that will create 322 direct jobs

The Government of Spain fully fund the 50 projects Lorca State Fund for a total of 15.8 million euros

The government delegate in the Region of Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, has put together with the Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, the first stone of the new indoor pool in the neighborhood of San Antonio.

The construction of an indoor heated pool in the neighborhood of San Antonio de Lorca is one of the projects that the city of Lorca submitted to the Local Investment Fund.

The pool will be built on a plot of 2,070 m², with the Institute "San Juan Bosco".

González Tovar explained that after the project was authorized by the Government Office and the Ministry of Public Administration, the City awarded the works on 20 March and sent a report to the Government of Spain.

After verifying this, the Ministry has authorized the issuance of 70 percent of the total budget for this work, 1,426,286 euros.

Upon completion of construction, which is scheduled to occur next October, will be paid the remaining 30 percent, some 600,000 euros.

Thus, the Government is fully financed sports facilities.

At the same time, the delegate of the Government has reported that the Government has already entered in the accounts of the City EUR 2,285,900 for the financing of 19 projects submitted by the City Council's call Zapatero Fund.

"In total, Tovar-Gonzalez reminded the Government of Spain financed almost 16 million euros for 50 projects submitted by Lorca."

Moreover, the delegate expressed his satisfaction with the more significant increase in jobs created by all the projects in relation to original estimates.

Gave as an example the municipal pool itself, initially provided for the creation of 50 direct jobs and that, however, will employ 222 people.

"Therefore, the delegate noted," I am convinced that was well above the 9,000 jobs that we expected to generate in the region with the State Fund. "

Finally, Gonzalez Tovar explained that to date the Government of Spain has entered the mind of the municipalities of the Region of Murcia, 87.3 million euros of the 405 projects audited so far.

These projects will create 6,977 new direct jobs.
