The Councillor for Health of the City of Lorca, Antonia Lopez, has reported that 6,234 students from 15 schools in the inner city and other districts, 15 have enjoyed and learned from the workshops of Health Education for School organized by the Consistory during the course 2008 / 9 and that ended this month.

Specifically, we have worked with 260 classrooms, through theoretical and practical workshops on "Personal hygiene as a source of health" for children of 1 and 2 Primary 22 centers, "Eating Well is the Best" to be healthy, targeting children in 31 schools of the 2 nd cycle of primary education, and "Skills for improved coexistence and conflict resolution", which have included children aged 3 º cycle of primary for 18 centers.

In the session that consisted of these workshops, we have developed the theoretical content using slides to DVD, carrying out a participatory exhibition, through dynamic and questions to stimulate interest and curiosity of children the subject.

Following the theoretical discussion the children performed an activity related to the issues discussed at the meeting.

Depending on the workshop, the DVDs are projected "Hygiene source of health", "Improvement of coexistence and conflict resolution", and "The Mediterranean diet, always accompanied by explanation and comments of the educator / a, implying all times to students.
