The "Summer Theater" Lorca continues on the Plaza de Calderón with the film "The Lives of Others," which will be screened on July 14 to 22 hours.

This is a German film won the Oscar for Best Foreign Film in 2007, which marked the debut as writer and director Florian Henckel.

The film is set in East Berlin during the last years of the GDR and shows the control exercised by the secret police (Stasi) on intellectual circles.

The film chronicles the life of an extremely competent officer of the Stasi, the all-powerful communist regime's secret police of the former German Democratic Republic, Captain Gerd Wiesler, that the solitude of his work begins to affect you in a way that could not predict .

In 1984, he assigned to spy on the couple formed by the famous playwright Georg Dreyman and popular actress Christa-Maria Sieland, Wiesler knowing how that mission will influence their lives.

In short, "The Lives of Others" of a particular situation, the experiences of individual characters, to express a general denunciation of society, becoming the end in a universal film that tells of a particular historical moment, but which is valid for other contexts.

During the inauguration of this cycle last Tuesday on 17, dozens of Lorca could enjoy a nice movie night at the Plaza de Calderón, with a screening of "Definitely, Maybe" by Adam Brooks.

The appointment ended with success, because all the seats in the plaza and terraces around, remained full until the end of the film.

Joaquin Ruiz, Councillor of Culture in office, has said that "it is a great opportunity to spend an interesting night with friends and family enjoying the atmosphere and climate of the Sun City."

The cycle will continue on Tuesday July 21 with the film "Atonement beyond passion," a film by Joe Wright featuring an amazing adventure in England in 1935.

In it, a great use of photography, the moving soundtrack, the construction of versatile characters, energetic and determined and tireless narrative of characters and parallel times, form a film of considerable quality.

In short, an appointment with the good movies will not lose any Lorca.
