The Socialist Party claims that over fourteen years of Government of the Autonomous Community Valcárcel has not created a single public kindergarten Lorca (17/08/2009)

Socialist Councillor Lucia Sanchez expressed his concern that two years after arrival in the municipality of Francisco Jodar, "has not put a single brick of the network of nursery schools that he promised in the 2007 election campaign."

Lorca Sanchez said that there are "hundreds" of children aged 0 to 3 years can not exercise their right to education because there are not enough places in the only public nursery school in the municipality.

In that regard, he recalled that competition in this area rests "exclusively" in the autonomous region, and the only infrastructure for this feature in the City of the Sun goes back to a socialist government in the region.

Sanchez recalled that during the fourteen years that the PP governs the autonomous region, our city has been treated "in a way insulting," while "has deprived the Lorca family of services that facilitate the reconciliation of working life and family. "

He said that the incorporation of women into work or increasing the birth rate in the municipality, has made "tripped" the demand for school places at a cost affordable to any family regardless of their cultural and economic capital.

But he said that many parents feel "frustrated" at the lack of existing public educational opportunities for boys and girls of this age range.

Sanchez criticized the "laziness" of the autonomous administration in this area and, in particular the marginalization to which is subject to Lorca compared to other municipalities.

In this regard noted that Murcia has twelve primary schools in public ownership (7 municipal and 5 of the Ministry of Education), Cartagena with nine, and Puerto Lumbreras already has committed funding to build four centers for the reconciliation of working life and family and children's schools, and expand the existing one.

By contrast, in Lorca only provides for the construction of a public kindergarten Sutullena, "which was announced with fanfare in November 2008, but will not be ready for the next school year," complained.

Therefore, the mayor called for the creation "urgent" in the network of early childhood education promised by the PP and demanded that the regional government to stop "punishing" and "no" to the Lorca and invest here, "what belongs to us ".

Sanchez also criticized the lack of political weight Francisco Jódar in the regional context, who said that "we are leaving to eat ground to the detriment of the interests of Lorca."
