During the mornings of Saturday and Sunday, the Sports Complex hosted the III European Squash Tournament Circuit Local Sports Games for Guadalentín.
26 male and 8 female participants, twice last year, competed over the weekend to win the trophy.
One of the most interesting aspects in the organization of this test has been that not only Lorca players have participated, but also occurred in Murcia, San Pedro del Pinatar and Velez Rubio.
In this regard highlighted Alberto Perez, number 35 from Spain, and Luis Tapia, 59, of Spain, both of San Pedro del Pinatar, or best under-15 player in the country, Cristina Gómez.
Locals fought against foreign players showing off their best shots and showing that the squash Lorca is a very good level within the Region of Murcia.
Just Alberto Perez, runner-up sub Spain `19, was the one that took first place in a roundabout way, and who won the trophy for the Games of Guadalentín without dropping a set throughout the competition.
In second place, after a hotly contested final that fell on the side of Perez, was Luis Tapia, sub'15 promising class player.
The third place went to Angel Pedro Perez, Spain's number 90, which in a 40-minute long match that ended 3-1 in favor, defeated Juan Francisco Flores Lorca.
In the women's number one ranking and tournament champions of Spain sub 15 with only 11 years, Cristina Gomez, San Pedro del Pinatar, had no problem to take the opening set and as did Alberto Perez in category male, did not drop a single set in the entire competition.
In second place was Maria Teresa Ros, player of the club, while the third was Juanita Perez Lorca Squash Club, who defeated Joaquina Sanchez, also of Lorca, in a marathon match that ended 3-2 for the first time.
In the consolation male, Pedro Lorca beat Miguel Antonio Martínez González, a young player from San Pedro del Pinatar, 3-2.
The third place went to Jose Garcia Lorca.
The test, organized by the Squash Club Lorca and the Municipal Sports and Games, was a success.
The day concluded with a raffle of gifts from the Club Lorca, clearly shows the great atmosphere that dominated the competition.
