Constantine opens in Lorca Sotoca Professionals seven workshops will train 105 young people (16/11/2009)

The Minister of Education, Training and Employment, Constantine Sotoca, opened today in seven Lorca Initial Vocational Training Program (IPPP)-in particular seven-Professional workshops to be held in the town this year and laid the foundation stone of the Centre for Initiatives Business of the turret.

The Business Enterprise Centre will help the entrepreneurs of the municipality to run their business, will provide training and information to define and implement your project, and also offered a place for them to start business before doing so independently .

The counselor said that the commissioning of these facilities constitute "a major gamble that may be crucial in times of crisis like we are going through and decisive in supporting and promoting the new entrepreneurs of Lorca and of course, strengthening local labor market. "

The new facility will have five new incubators and have, in addition, four classrooms, office area and waiting room, and will be fully completed and operational in May 2011.

Business Initiatives Center represents an investment of 600,000 euros, which are specified in this first phase, at 210,000 euros, of which the Ministry has funded 70 percent.

Moreover, in reference to the Initial Vocational Training Program, explained that it is Sotoca seven professional workshops that will train a total of 105 young people in the fields of masonry, painter, plumbing, office assistant, welding, computer, catering and hairdressing.

With this training the students get in a year a certificate of qualification, which will facilitate their employment, and offered the possibility, with another year of study, to obtain the title of secondary education.

The Ministry invests 340,000 euros to develop professional workshops, which represents an effort on the previous year of 50,000 euros for PCPI in that mode.

These workshops are now 17 programs taught in the municipality and involving 250 young people.

Sotoca said "that the two initiatives we put in place a clear example of collaboration between the city of Lorca and the regional government and of considerable benefit to the town, opening up new job opportunities to its citizens, now more than ever need supported by all governments. "
