The Minister of Social Policy, Women and Migration in the Autonomous Community, Joaquín Bascuñana, and the Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, have remained in the Garden Ruano de Lorca a meeting with the mayors of the region and have since signed a framework agreement prevention and action against violence, on the occasion of Violence against Women, commemorated today.
The commitments contained in the agreement emphasize the total rejection against male violence against women and to promote the implementation of protocols and exchange of best practices that ensure the existence of a strong regional network of care for battered.
The document commits signatories to promote training activities aimed at practitioners who provide care for victims and to promote specific educational activities to raise public awareness about this scourge and, especially, to young people.
Also encourage the implementation of a single record as a tool for integrated management of all information relating to victims, attention to them, is made more effective and coordinated.
Finally, with this agreement, the councils are committed to enhancing the implementation of policies to support battered women and facilitate access to resources that foster their social and labor integration.
