The Socialist councilor Ginés Diaz, announced today that his party will ask the Full Council next Monday improvements "immediate" in the public school Villaespesa District of Tercia.

Diaz recalled that the school, which serves elementary and primary students was built some 30 years to eight groups of students.

Throughout these years have been transforming spaces in classrooms, in some cases, or new classrooms were built, in others in order to accommodate the demand for places in the center.

Over time, the use of new structural needs and provision of services to existing infrastructure "result in a center with a few gaps and needs for improvement which we believe must be resolved and addressed urgently," said Diaz.

The socialist mayor said the site has an unenclosed space in the basement of the new building that could be used as a library "for the school and its environment" as it has in the center of a large collection of books already cataloged.

In addition, Diaz told that it is necessary to cover a track from school for physical education pavilion, replace part of the fence of the center, fix the roof of the building of Pre-provoking nesting birds and bats, and provide a solution to the release of water to prevent flooding when it rains.

On the other hand, we must adapt the wiring and the contracted power to the current energy demands, and the current installation, outdated, dating from the date of construction of the school.

It is also necessary arrangement of toilets for nursery, primary and professors, repainted rooms, kitchens, hallways and the porch of the school and put into service the elevator that takes three years without working.

For this, the Municipal Socialist Group will ask the City Council to urge the Ministry of Education of the CARM to include this facility in the list of priority target centers of the Regional Infrastructure of the Social Pact for Education in the Region of Murcia 2009 / 2012 and has had deficits in almost all lines of action of the Plan.

Alternative proposal, the PSOE raises the possibility that the municipality included in Plan E projects an item that can address these improvements or to include in their budgets, an amount of around € 300,000, to start the care of these demands .
