Limusa implanted the first set of islets collection of the Peninsula to high population density (11/02/2010)

Ten islets of collection replaced since early this morning to 40 containers distributed throughout the Avenida Juan Carlos I in order to minimize its visual impact.

Each location, with or without containers for depositing organic waste, is comprised of a container for storage of paper and paperboard, other containers and other glass light.

Replaces the current Limusa igloos to unify the areas of contribution in the main artery of the city and reduce its visual impact.

In fact, a score of places of deposit is passed only ten locations with the ease of having the three fractions recovered in the same environment.

The availability of parking spaces reserved for businesses and citizens are also enhanced with this initiative, more orderly in spite of occupying almost (3 meters less) the same total length of sidewalk.

With this investment, which is around 35,000 euros, close Limusa restructuring in the Avenida Juan Carlos I started in February 2009 with the replacement of the former side-loading containers filled the road -33 units of containers for solid waste of 2,400 for 23 liters of 3,200 liters - and occupied a total of 62 meters.

The new containers also selectively reduced in number the previous allocation to replace a total of 40 containers packaging -17 yellow, 13 blue cardboard and paper and 10 green bell-glass, so that the visual impact is directly reduced a third party.

One might consider that the new units are more bulky than the previous ones, but are similar to those already existing in this convenient way to deposit MSW, bringing the service to the citizen does not suffer any loss in quality.

The model chosen is the ISR Contenur 32, for collection with a double hook, now articulated Limusa system via wireless, thanks to the latest investment in machinery made and presented last July.

Features include high capacity (3,200 liters), corrosion resistance, shock absorption parking, and reduced visual impact (dark gray in color base and selective in its cover.)

With these acquisitions, the town of Lorca is the first of the peninsula, not Spain, as can be found in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, in having these new units offered by the container market, specially designed for larger locations cities or villages concentrated in avenues such as Juan Carlos I Lorca, with little linear space and high population density.
