The works have involved the installation of a major pipeline infrastructure that collects wastewater from the area and leads to the junction with the sewage tendrils of Ramos.

The new collector, 2.3 kilometers long, is part of a Comprehensive Sanitation Plan Lorca "very ambitious" that the Ministry develops in these times of large treatment plants are already built.

This plan foresees an investment of 100 million euros to develop in this and coming years.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Water has submitted for publication in the Official Gazette a new set of projects amounting to 12 million euros.

This is the work on the extension of the collector road to Eagle, Puri and the Coy and Avilés.

The challenge facing the Department is to complete the network in the area of spread, which includes works amounting to 50 million euros.

In addition, works for the construction of tertiary treatment plant in the village of La Hoya are almost completed.

The Minister stressed that all the works referred to in the city involve the construction of 170 km of collectors, which means, he said, "a huge effort focused on the one hand to recover the waste water so it can be reused and thus alleviate the serious shortage of water for irrigation Lorca, and secondly to protect the environment from harmful discharges. "

So far, 20 percent of the work contemplated by this plan are implemented or under implementation.

The owner of Agriculture and Water recalled that 2010 is the year of collectors, with the construction of fifty of such infrastructure in 15 municipalities of the Region of Murcia.
