The Secretary General of the Partido Popular de Lorca, Angel García Aragón, has reported that the local DB has launched the initiative "Lorcambiental", aimed at volunteer environment.
The head of this group, Raquel Jódar, explained that the initiative has the following purposes:
- Contribute to the environmental recovery of degraded ecosystems in space and the municipality, environmental improvement and wildlife habitat areas, restoring rivers and shorelines and to identify and reduce factors threatening endangered wildlife species.
- Involve the Lorca in voluntary activities that encourage the conservation of our natural environment.
- Sensitize the general public and promote closer lorquina of Lorca to natural areas.
- Promote personal commitment and the social agreement with efforts to protect and conserve the environment.
- Assist in establishing a "culture of participation" in all areas of society.
Jódar Raquel explained that the recipients of the Environmental Volunteer Program Lorca People's Party "Lorcambiental" seniors are interested in contributing, altruistically, a part of their free time to active participation in tasks of knowledge, improvement and Lorca environmental conservation.

In collaboration with Global Nature
Raquel Jódar has indicated that the project "Lorcambiental" has established collaboration with the Global Nature Fund in providing advice and support in volunteer projects.
