Peñarrubia highlights the great public response in the first celebrations of World Book Day (21/04/2010)

Alderman Library emphasizes the "important role in the first two days of activities, both in the decentralized libraries in the street and demonstrate the citizen interest in reading."

The schedule continues this afternoon in the library of the Prince of Asturias, La Paca, Zarcilla Palm and Puri, as well as the Children and Young People

The Councillor for Education and Library of the City of Lorca, José Joaquín Peñarrubia, has emphasized this morning the great public response obtained in the activities of the first two days of the week's celebrations marking the Day of the Book in the municipality, which continue this afternoon and tomorrow, ending on Friday.

From day 23 the dance take over the activities on the streets of five dance studios Lorca.

Peñarrubia explained that "the experience of decentralizing the program at ten libraries in the Red Hall, not to mention the Plaza Calderon is still a resounding success."

In this regard, the council has encouraged residents to continue going the other activities that are planned.

José Joaquín Peñarrubia recalled that the activities of this afternoon pass through a storyteller with Pepe Ferrer in the Plaza de Calderón, at 18:30 pm and her show "The hunter of stories, another in the Public Library of La Paca at 17:00 pm, Inma Guillén, who at 18:30 will do the same also in the Public Library Palm Zarcilla.

with Adela Mendiola.

Tomorrow morning, students of 1 º and 2 º converse in Primary Children's Library and Youth Cultural Center in Helena Martínez illustrator who illustrated the book "What else would!", Written by Ana Maria Machado.

In the afternoon, "Fusion Puppetry Arts" will feature the show "Tales Sonantes and Puppet" at Plaza Calderon at 18:30 h, while the Biblioteca Municipal de La Hoya, will host a storyteller with Adela Mendiola at 19:00 .

and the Library of Marchena-Aguadero provide other storytellers with Inma Guillén at 18:00

This program ends on Friday 23 with the awards ceremony of the XXV Child Story Competition "Premio María Fernández-Luna" at the Cultural Center of the City, at 11:30.

Peñarrubia said "this year more than ever, is to take advantage of the expansion of the municipal libraries have done in the neighborhoods and districts to offer the residents of these areas decentralized cultural activities, closer to their homes, not forgetting the aim of bringing the culture of the book to the street.
